Could you give a description of the piece/work/exhibition and explain how the artist is attacking Hebrew? Art is open to interpretation, and I'm not going to show-up to fight Anti-semitism unless I think it is indeed a work of Anti-semitism. Thanks!

I'm trying to understand this, but its just confusing me. You're calling in a protest against someone saying what they feel in their art???
It reminds me of the National Endowment for the Arts suing artists because they didn't agree with the art that came from their grants. This is ridiculous.
If you disagree with the content of someone's art work there are much more productive ways of dealing with it than promoting censorship.
Maybe address the issue that is brought up by the statement that "Hebrew has become a language of abuse"? I sorry that you feel threatened by people speaking truth to power, but standing up for Israel is like standing up for heavily armed giant that's bent on the subjugation of an entire people.
And you work with Stand With Us??? Can you seriously not see through the jingoistic insanity that fills every word that organization pumps out??
They publish hit lists for God's sake.
You're working with a radically right-wing, anti-Palestinian group that publishes personal information on its perceived enemies to censor someone's personal beliefs from their artwork, and singing about PEACE???!! Do you not see the irony in that?!?!
You're calling in people from out of town to protest student art in the student-run cafe? This seems like a crisis of priorities if not a crisis of morals.

Dear Mr. Fruchter, I received a copy of your letter to the Olympia Food Co-op. It saddens me that we have to go to great lengths to boycott Israel's exports. It appears to be the only way we can show that we abhor the holocaust which is perpetrated against your countrymen the Palestinians. I have my very own boycotts and do spread the word that I boycott Starbucks because of the financial aide Howard Shultz provides to AIPAC. I have asked Trader Joe's not to carry Israeli imports from illegally occupied territories and joined my Jewish friends in a picket line, but we have not yet succeeded. I also will vote against Senator Murray because of her support of sanctions against Iran and her staunch support for the Zionist government of Israel.

To whom it may concern,
My daughter, Meagan, will be coming to Evergreen as a Freshman this fall. I was extremely surprised to see that orientation was on Rosh Hashanah and the first day of school was on Yom Kippur! I called to express my disappointment but haven't heard back yet.
I would like to know what programs you have for college students at Evergreen and if there are any services for the High Holy Days available, etc. Could you either e-mail me (cantor@templebethelmadison.org) or call me about these things? Thanks so much.

Correction/Update:

The shabbat gathering will actually be starting at *7pm,* not 8pm as I thought earlier.

Hi. I am an alum ('92), and I used to be the Coordinator of Evergreen's JCC. I am so glad there is a Hillel now on campus! I currently am the Capital Campaign Director for UW-Madison's Hillel.

Keep me informed as to what is happening on campus from time to time! Thanks.

Also, next time I send in a contribution to TESC, can I earmark it to your Hillel? Please find out.

Best,
Suzanne Saines-Rubinstein
