What is the Evergreen Hillel?
The Evergreen Hillel, formerly known as the Jewish Cultural Center (JCC) is a student run campus organization dedicated to to bringing Jews and those interested in Judaism together in a safe and open learning environment. We work with varying parts of the college administration to provide services and accomodations to students, faculty and staff.

When and how often does Hillel meet?
Hillel meets every Wednesday at 3:00pm in SEM II A3107. We are always welcoming to new ideas. Please, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, comments or insights.

Does one need to be Jewish to participate?
While we are geared toward the Jewish population at Evergreen, you do not have to be Jewish to participate or benefit from our resources. All members of the community are always welcome.

What are your political affiliations?
The Evergreen Hillel is as nonpolitical as possible. We aim to provide resources to our constituents regardless of their political beliefs or level of Jewish observance.

What synagogues are you affiliated with?
The Evergreen Hillel is very lucky to have a strong relationship with both synagogues in Olympia. The Reconstructionist synagogue, Temple Beth Hatfiloh (TBH), and Congregation B’Nai Torah (CBT) affiliated with the Conservative Movement. If you are interested in visiting or learning more about either of these synagogues, please contact us for more information.
